GNU RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROJECT TYPE:

GNU provided Pre-Construction and Construction Management services on this CMAR project. The project involved renovating the existing media center of the school. The scope of the project involved the interior improvement of the school’s media center room. These rooms received new acoustical ceiling, new light fixtures, electrical upgrades, flooring, wall finishes painting, fire sprinkler, millwork and cabinets for built-in desks, genius bar and café, storefronts, doors, hardware, and windows. The project was completed on time while classes were in session. 

This project required careful planning and execution to minimize disruptions to daily operations. Despite the challenges posed by conducting the project in an occupied facility, GNU successfully navigated the situation. Construction activities were strategically scheduled after-hours, weekends, and breaks to minimize disruption to the occupants. This meticulous planning not only ensured the safety and comfort of the facility’s occupants but also allowed the project to progress smoothly. Overall, GNU’s adept handling of this renovation project showcased their commitment to excellence in construction management and their ability to overcome challenges associated with upgrading critical systems in an operational environment.
